A CD-ROM drive that can read PhotoCD discs or other discs that have been created in several goes. For example, if you save one photograph on to a PhotoCD disc on Monday and another two on Tuesday, you have created a multi-session disc. When buying a CD-ROM drive, make sure it is multi-session-compatible. (See also PhotoCD.)
